A Short Escape to 'Alun-Alun Bandung'

Happy Sunday, Pals!

Still remember my latest journey in Bandung? I posted about me walking on Bandung's most mainstream streets, Braga and Asia-Afrika. Still on the same day, my sister and I arrived at 'Alun-Alun Bandung'.

Alun-Alun Bandung is where the big mosque of Bandung was placed. It has a very large yard using synthetic grass. Both Bandung citizens and people from other cities come here and they can sit on the grass or on the red benches provided there, enjoying the architectural aesthetics of this place.

This mosque has a beautiful landscape. One of my favorite spot there was the garden. It has colorful vegetations and they're arranged dynamically with the sloping 'grids'.

And the signs were cool...

It's so sad that I only had one day full for walking in Bandung. Hoping to see Bandung again in the future and exploring more places, more streets, and in more time.

See ya,

Wardah

  1. The sign is real cool! It's sad that bad people destroy some of it :(

    1. Yeah, some letters were seen lost. Indonesian mainstream problem, huh?

  2. YES! Alun-alun Bandung is more beautiful than before. Unfortunately, I lived in Bandung before Ridwan Kamil become the mayor of this city :(

  3. It is surely more beautiful than my last visit on February 2007. :D

But I heard those artificial greens are smelly. Is it true?

    1. I didn't find it smelly (or I just didn't remember). It's just a little bit wet because it's rainy season there in Bandung
