Surabaya Fashion Parade 2016 Moslem Runway: Elmira, Maula, Juwita Heraris

Assalamualaikum, Pals...

Still from the Moslem Runway of Surabaya Fashion Parade 2016 that I attended last week, I'd like to share the next three collections I watched there. After sharing to you a glimpse about Ranti, Gemello, Elhijab, and Dwico in the last post, this is the time for Elmira by Saffana, Maula, and Juwita Heraris.

Elmira by Saffana
The words I say about this collection: feminine, bright, syar'i. You'll see layers of flowy fabrics, which is so girly I think. And the bright colorful colors comfort my eyes. The syar'i looks were such an Eid material.

In the beginning of the show, the audiences could see a video of 'Nemo' underwater. Then, a model wearing a bright pinky orange colors came. So eye-catchy! I thought I would be shown a collection full of bright pinky orange things, but no! The collection frankly represents the life underwater, from the 'Nemo' fish, seaweed, sea, shark, and even pearls. This is based on my perception, though. But really, I love the collection.

Juwita Heraris
After watching a collection of casual wears, we're provided the show of bridal collection. Themed "C'est Moi" (France: this is me), I could see beautiful gowns with the touch of 'European lady'. I really enjoyed the show because the background music was so 'Europe' too. And at that time, the girls probably imagined about their dream weddings, which gowns for reception and aqad suits them. I focused on taking pictures, though. Hahaha.

Okay, Pals. What do you think? Do you like the collection? Are you thinking about wearing them or, just like me, enjoying fashion in a fashion event? The review and explanation I wrote here and the last post and the next post about Surabaya Fashion Parade 2016 are purely my opinions and perceptions, guys. So, if you think of digging up about them, just google them and voila! You could find the true meaning of the designer. I'm trying to google them too anyway. So, see ya!

*Sorry for being late, but this is the last week of this semester and I have many tasks undone. Wish me luck! Thanks in advance, love you :*

Surabaya Fashion Parade 2016 Moslem Runway: Ranti, Gemello, Elhijab, Dwico

Assalamualaikum, Pals.

Do you know what May means in Surabaya? It is the month of celebration, big celebration. May is the birth month of Surabaya, so there are many interesting events like bazaars and parades held every May every year. I'm always excited with this big celebration, especially the Surabaya Fashion Parade.

Surabaya Fashion Parade is held every year, included in the series of Surabaya's big celebration. This year, Surabaya Fashion Parade held its 9th event in 2016, themed "Vismaya Navamika". Vismaya Navamika which in Sanskrit means nine glorious, SFP tried to photograph exotic batik and elegance of luxury fashion. And yes, we could see batik everywhere in the bazaar area.

Although, the runway was not just for batik. I got the chance to come this year and chose to come to the Moslem Runway on the 3rd day of this event. These are the glimpse of the designers' fashion show in the Moslem Runway. And yes, this will be in more than a post.

Seeing the collection, all I got was femininity. Pastel colors, organic form details, even with dark colors, I could see the feminine lady in the collection.

Bold, elegance, ethnicity. The ethnic fabrics combined with the bold of black shows the elegance in every piece of this collection. The fall of the fabrics on the models' body got my heart. Can't ignore every one of them.

Active woman is all I can see in this collection. The style varies but every piece of the collection is for active women's casual wear.

Unique, artistic, can't be understood (by me). My friend beside said, "when will they can be worn?". I can't answer.

A Glance of Our Last Weekend

Hello, Pals. It's so glad that we have a long weekend here in Indonesia. You feel it, right?

I don't have any event this weekend but still staying in Surabaya because I will touch my tasks less if I go to Gresik. Realizing that my blog is so quiet these several weeks annoyed me, so I decided to make a post.

I don't have many to tell here, but my last weekend was awesome and tiring! Btw, all activities I post here were done by me and my friend, Ranti.

1. "Monggo Mampir" in Yello Hotel Jemursari

A sister in a women community asked me to be in a decor team for an event. The community is Srikandi Project (IG:@subwomenweek) and the event was held by Woman Blitz featuring Srikandi Project. The event was named "Monggo Mampir" and was held in Yello Hotel Jemursari. Like the name, the hotel was so yellowww. I probably wouldn't come if I was not in the decor team. But, I was, so yeah here I was.

I planned to come alone on the first day (Friday), but Ranti had no activities so I asked her to come with me. There, we joined the sharing session by an inspiring woman. Just in a little time, though. We decided to just visit the women-themed art exhibition.

In the second day, I accompanied Ranti to come to a movie talk show, a subevent of "Monggo Mampir. We watched two short movies and had a discussion about one of them. I'm not in a movie club or something about movie, but I enjoyed the event.

2. The Closing Night of PEKSIMITS 2016 (Pekan Seni Mahasiswa ITS)

I joined a poster design competition in PEKSIMITS last week, so it's a must for me to attend the closing night on Friday night. However, I was so optimistic that my poster design wouldn't win so I had decided not to go. But Ranti was the committee and she asked me seriously to come. So I came, at least I could enjoy the art performance. But Allah was so very berry kind to me. I was a 2nd winner! *I didn't take a photo with the trophy, though.

By the way, I love the dance performance and the theatrical performance. So much.

3. Urban Gigs

I tell you guys, I'm not a concert lover. But last week, I got a message from Urban Gigs (kind of promotion message) that they have GAC in Surabaya. For free. I should bold and capitalize it. GAC. FOR FREE. So, I asked Ranti to come with me after the movie talk show.

We came to Suroboyo Carnival and had a wonderful Saturday night singing along with Gamaliel, Audrey, and Cantika. Ranti was surprised and happy when she knew her favorite band, Payung Teduh also had a performance in Urban Gigs.

Alhamdulillah, it's a wonderful weekend.See ya, Pals
